Difficulty Level: Moderate Length: 6.8 Miles, Out and Back
The trail drops 1,600 feet in 3.4 miles, hikers making this trek should wear a hat, take plenty of water and wear sunscreen.The reason hikers toil through the chaparral covered hillsides as they descend lies under a lush riparian tangle of trees and vegetation where five springs, called Fossil Springs, pour out more than a million gallons an hour of 72-degree water from a limestone ledge.Meet at the Fry’s parking lot in

Lava Cave(Flagstaff)July 12
Difficulty Level: Easy Length: 2 Miles, Out and Back This very unusual hike will take you down a 700,000-year-old lava tube discovered by lumbermen around 1915.Take 2 sources of light per person, one for backup in case the other fails.
The cave floor is very rocky and uneven, sturdy shoes/boots are a good idea and the temperatures of the cave range between 35 and 45 degrees summer and winter so dress appropriately. Meet at the Fry’s parking lot in Cottonwood at 6:30 am
